When Hurt Heals
We are often taught to suppress our emotions, avoid crying, and not address the pain, which leaves us without a clear understanding of why we act and make decisions. We are told to be strong and cope as we were taught to cope. We are also introduced to rely on ourselves and not need anyone else. However, vulnerability requires trust, honesty, and loyalty to be present. Pretending to be someone you’re not is not sustainable, as nobody wants you for who you pretend to be. Therefore, it is better to be your genuine self or be nothing.
